The Vienna Women’s Shelters counsel and support women affected by violence and their children on their path to a life free from violence. Our work is characterised by advocacy, solidarity and self-determination. Following the principle of women supporting women, we create a non-judgemental space in which every woman makes her personal decisions independently. Supporting women on their individual path is our greatest value.

Internship

We offer internship placements for Social Work students in all of our facilities. You can find all information about our internships and the application process here:

Degree programme: Social Work

Types of internship:

  • Long-term internship (480 hours)
  • Part-time internship alongside employment (480 hours)
  • Orientation internship (120 hours), subject to availability

Period: from August/September
Application period: December to February

Documents: CV and letter of motivation of max. 250 words. This should include: period, university, number of hours, reason for applying and which facility you are interested in.
