Transitional housing
After a stay in a women’s shelter, there is the option to move into one of our transitional housing units for up to 1.5 years. Here, women and their children continue to receive counseling and support.
Our transitional housing area consists of a total of 54 residential places. This area was established to provide even better support for women affected by violence during the transition from the women’s shelter to a new life.
Counseling
Social workers work in the transitional housing area. They continue to support women affected by violence and their children with their concerns.
Topics of counseling include, for example:
- Visitation contacts and custody arrangements
- Residence rights
- Pending court proceedings (divorce, custody, guardianship, …)
- Child support
- Accompaniment to civil court
- The path to independent, long-term housing
- Financial security
- Support with all concerns on the path to a violence-free life
Women with their children live in the transitional housing area who:
- have their own income.
- no longer require the protection of a women’s shelter.
- require support with pending court proceedings.
- can manage their daily lives independently.

The transitional housing area has 54 residential places (52 apartments and 2 shared apartments). All apartments in the transitional housing area are furnished

- Home visits
- Accompaniment to court proceedings
- Support with moving out and all associated organizational tasks
