Physical violence means that someone injures your body. For example:
- You are strangled.
- You are beaten.
- You are injured with a weapon.
- You are pushed or kicked.
Sexual Violence
Sexual violence is sexual acts to which you have not consented. For example:
- You are forced to undress.
- Someone takes pictures while you are naked.
- You are touched without your consent.
- You are forced to have sex.
- You are forced to watch pornography.
Psychological Violence
Psychological violence means that someone hurts you with words. For example:
- You are insulted and humiliated.
- You are deliberately ignored.
- You are constantly controlled.
- You are put down in front of others.
Cyber Violence
Cyber violence is violence that takes place in the digital space. For example:
- You are controlled through your mobile phone.
- You are abused on social media.
- Photos of you are shared without your consent.
- You are blackmailed or threatened.
Economic Violence
Economic violence means exercising power over financial resources. For example:
- You have no access to your own money.
- You are not allowed to go to work.
- Your belongings are sold without your consent.
- Your husband has control over your account.
